Susi Laura Massage Therapy
I went to Susi Laura Massage Therapy this Wednesday to get a facial, not knowing what to expect-it was the most relaxing and effective acne facial ever. My trip started by being greeted as soon at I walked in the door by super friendly workers behind a beautifully decorated counter in a beautifully decorated waiting room. They have you fill to a form on your skin type, in and out. Then my aesthetician (the person doing your facial), Kirsten Sabbagh (who I highly recommend), led me into a dimly lit room with high ceilings and a super cozy-looking heated massage bed, and the sound of the ocean echoing off the walls. You put on a towel dress and lie under the covers in the bed. She comes back in and gives you an enzyme facial while massaging your arms with herby oil. Then she does the extractions. Extractions sure sound scary, but they aren't. She covers your eyes so you calm down a little, and rubs your face with a toner. Then she basically just scoops away your pimples without scarring them. I'm not going to lie, it does hurt, but only really if your zit is incredibly pressured or deep (like most of mine, of course). Then she uses a wand on your face with the same toner called a high frequency machine, and it makes a very loud buzzing sound when it comes in contact with your skin. Its job is to kill the bacteria under your skin so the pimples just waiting to pop up are erased before they even happen. It shocks a bit, but only as if you shocked yourself on your chair or something like that. Once that is over, she gives you a second facial that has camphor, a waxy, white, or transparent solid with a strong, aromatic odor. It is found in a large evergreen tree found in Asia. It smells like a Halls cough drop, but feels amazing on your skin. While that sets, she massages your arms again, and then you are done! You can get a facial appointment at Susi Lauri Massage Therapy for $45.

Wow Maddie! This place looks beautiful! I love your description and fun words...I feel like I'm right in the Spa with you! I love your blog- you truly have a knack for writing about things for girls...maybe you'll be a journalist one day! Keep up the good work! Also, I had a question. Is there a specific skin care routine you suggest for daily use? What products would I need for that? I have a cute dress I think you would love on my blog...check it out!
